Some folks have been bitching about the defense for over a year( and rightfully so) coaches this, players that....

So when LFR retools his defensive staff and pushes unproductive player out....now folks are, OMG, SC is falling apart. We're DOOMED!!!

I don't buy into your timeline. In todays CFB with the fluidity that players and coaches have rebuilds have to be faster because your roster can change from year to year and coaches jump ship constantly and take players with them. Saban has gone through complete staff rebuilds year to year and he's kept thm at a competitive level even after some bad hires. Riley just needs to make better choices in recruiting and hiring and adapt to the quickness that changes occur. any coach that doesn't will fail. Roster are no longer 3-4 years anymore..with a turnover of less then 1/4 of the roster every year. This is no longer the case...so the time to rebuild needs to shrink accordingly and the time to develop needs to fall into accordance with that IMHO...
