I applaud them for the move. They belong in the CFP and they are opting out now. Frankly, it's too bad that FSU didn't just tell the OB to fuck off. Networks start losing money bc of their biased agendas and things will change. Hopefully ESPN suffers the hit here.
I couldn't disagree more. I think it's one thing for a star player who has a real NFL future to opt out, especially from a shitass bowl, but for the best players on a team to opt out of a major bowl like the Orange Bowl? That is totally disrespectful to their benefactor Florida State University and to college football as a whole.
They had the opportunity to man up and beat a top 5 team. Instead, they fucking quit.
No what they said was "we scared of them Bulldogs without the only guy that can make our offense go missing and we don't want to be embarassed" Florida State was a joke and didn't deserve to be in the Playoffs not with the terrible showings they put on after they lost their QB.. and .if they put a team on the field for this game their walking out says nothing and if they get slaughtered no one will remember that some players were missing...in fact every damn team not in the playoffs has players missing...so no excuses. I expect USC to lose to Louisville and heck Ohio St has a bunch of kids go into the Portal including their starting QB..but they are going to play..
If they walk off..they are cowards leaving their teamates to play. You don't walkout on your team especially if you are not going into the Draft where the injury factor plays a part but even than...any respect I had for Caleb Williams left the minute he said he wasn't going to play and still hasn't announced for the draft....no one with any guts leaves feeling behind and sticks it out for his teamates..."brothers in arms"......all I see is selfishness with no concerns about the guys you played with and the fear of being exposed to the truth...you didn't belong..
It's a meaningless game. People say if they beat UGA it'll prove that the playoff committee got it wrong but do they get to play the winner of the CFP final? If they have NFL potential, I would do the same.
If they played and actually beat UGA they could say the playoff commitee got it wrong and they proved it...if they just whine about it and don't play everyone knows the Playoff Committe got it right because that team wasn't up to the task...if you think they had support before...play and win and that support explodes and if they finished undefeated...their may be a lot of folks that claim these guys are NC.... playoffs or not..
More grist for the mill. CFB is dying as we speak.
If the committee were smart, they'd have scheduled FSU to play Liberty and have Oregon play Georgia.
If you're gonna dis FSU, might as well do it all the way instead of dissing both Oregon and FSU in the process.....lol
Would have been much better match ups. No one wants to see Georgia smear FSU or Oregon smear Liberty. Make bowl advertisers happy, not mad.

Exactly ...trying to create an excuse if your info is correct...
CFB committee F ed them and
Now FSU just said F U back.
I like it
