How can they leave out Roger Staubach, YA Tittle and Len Dawson. Already mentioned below Unitas, Namath, Starr and Van Brocklin. Too many great ones to list only 10.
It only makes sense if the NFL was established in 1970. It would make much more sense to rate quarterbacks by the first 50 years and then the second 50 years. That way guys like Otto Graham and Norm Van Brocklen
Would appear. A top 10 list without them is a bogus list.
Johnny Unitas should be on the list. In fact, JU should be top 3. One of the GOAT, held that title for a long time. Montana over took his title and then Brady. I got to see him play many times growing up. He was truly a field general, fierce competitor, great leader, very smart (called most of the plays), had a Golden Arm and tough as nails. Great QB... Cheers.
When the NFL celebrated its first 50 years, Unitas was voted the league's best player.[59] Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame middle linebacker Ray Nitschke said of Unitas, "'What a tough guy and what a leader. He was the best I ever faced.'"[79] Retired Bears quarterback Sid Luckman said of Unitas, "He was better than me, better than Sammy Baugh, better than anyone."[80] Hall of fame player, and NFL coach, Raymond Berry said that what made Unitas unique "'was his uncanny instinct for calling the right play at the right time, his icy composure under fire, his fierce competitiveness and his utter disregard for his own safety."[81]
Any list without Unitas is a joke and not to be taken seriously. I'd add Otto Graham also.

Marino no rings. Loser

Oh, add in Joe Namath as well.
I would put Elway above Mahomes, Tarkington above Brees, and Dan Fouts above Marino. sc
Guess the NFL only started counting QB's in the 1970's....none before that count it appears...
