USC tried to kill and bury anything it can not control. Would not surprise me to see USC turn these people in for an NCAA violation and undergo a penalty just to get them back under their control Never underestimate USC's thirst for control. If USC can't write their own script, offer their own narrative without contradiction or question, they will find a way to kill it. Just the way they are.
So in that sense I welcome this. Didn't like the way the screed the alumni groups. Didn't like the way I was strong armed with the stadium renovation vis a vis my tickets. So yeah, hope these people stay independent.
Eventually USC will capitulate, will have to. Adn will offer some form of access. Some form of punitive punishment, like cutting off season tickets from any known member of the collective. Or will give sweet inducements to others to sign their rights and life away. Eventually giving USC control yet again. Don't be surprised to see suits from USC if they can't get what they want, just to soak up the group's money. Maybe even see suits challenging their use of anything close to the Trojan name, likeness, mascots, phrases, etc.
