Half payout shares only, unlike usc and ucal.
Still, I'm not in favor. I don't think either school brings enough to the party, other than easing the schedule travel. I think USC and ucal can manage that well enough for themselves, thank you very much.
You all see this as a sprint; it's not. Change will happen for others not named Oklahoma, Texas, UCLA, USC. If not now, definitely in time. The best/most valuable teams will not be left out.
You all can hate on Oregon as much as you'd like (I'd call it something closer to jealousy, but the actual name for it you can decide on your own), but the facts remain that by most accounts Oregon is a top 10 brand in college football. And likely top 25 brand in basketball (not that bb matters all that much comparatively, of course). A deep association with Nike doesn't hurt either.
You have to look at it through the lens of the B1G and the networks, not through the lens of fans of teams like USC and UCLA who hate the Oregon brand. All that matters is money, not Nobel Laureates.
You guys do make me chuckle with the hatred, and that's what keeps this so fascinating to this quack. 😝
There is no way USC would let them. UCLA probably doesn't care, they are just happy to be there. If any other shit-ass Pac-12 programs go to the B1G it will ruin everything. Especially Oregon, that place is like America's compost bin.
