Have to admit, it's a little anti-climatic from the summer when a few of you Trojans were gleefully digging Oregon's 2024 grave somewhere in or around the Mountain West Conference, and making light of the Bo-dacious billboards since it was clear at the time there was to be a 2-time Heisman winner in 2023, and pointing to this Nov 11th game as a day of reckoning for my quacks.
Well, there's still a good chance of you Trojans upsetting my quacks now that the Grinch is back to being simply a famous, green holiday cynic rather than a coach fostering cynicism within the hearts of USC fans. No, that's not a poker face, it's me being realistic in Oregon facing a still-very-talented team that has nothing left to lose and a ton to prove now that the furry green monster is no more. And, last I checked, a team that still has a Heisman Trophy winner at the helm.
Anyway, I see this going much like your UW game on Saturday - lots of scoring. Might be the last side to have the ball wins. Our safeties are our weakest link, and one you will no doubt exploit. Ducks aren't blowing out you Trojans. That I can guarantee now that there will be only ONE true Grinch at Autzen on Saturday. 🙂

There is always a chance at an upset. sc
can't wait to see the duck poop unis
The line moved from 14 to 16.5 so that's your answer. It will be late at night with most assuming Oregon will blow out USC, so maybe not much interest. Small blessings.
No, we don't.
Maybe by Thursday for me.
Just a wild guess but I think they lost interest.
On paper, there is no way in hell USC wins. But they don't play the game on paper.
USC has a chance if Oregon doesn't take them super seriously, because USC can still score mega-points. USC's defense may have some new life, too. No, they won't be able to learn a whole lot more in just one week, but distancing themselves from the stench that was Alex Grinch will be a huge load off their shoulders, and they could play with a renewed sense of purpose.
Nike is going to have to treat this like a very important game, because it is.
Ok after my post below, saying there isn't much separating the 3 teams, I looked at your scores against opponents and they are far superior results than anything UW did this year. How your game with them was close, raises the only question- what happened? Regardless, based upon what I saw, coupled with home field and our mental state, I say you win by 3 scores.
Playing in Eugene isn't fun. It's like amateur hour with the drunk and stoned fans. With that said, thats an advantage for you ducks.
People talk about how much offense UW put up against SC but SC did equal damage to the dawgs. It truly came down to Caleb's fumble, the called back td and that last sack. Penix pass in the end zone was a prayer as well. Whereas I'd say similar for your game against then - you guys blew it. So when I look at the 3 teams, not a whole lot separates, save the rankings, which I really don't believe in this year after Georgia and UM. Everyone else could beat or lose to everyone else. Do I hope SC shows up this weekend with their hair on fire? Hell yes, but I felt we did last week. Are we out of mental gas? Maybe. I'll have to look at stats again. They played out as I thought against UW who ran the ball better than I imagined but that was all poor defensive schemes. Their rb didn't get touched for the first 5 yards of every carry. I want to vomit when I think about it. Who knows what will change in 7 days. Let's hope for a good game. Thanks for asking. Perhaps the best thing SC can do for you ducks is beat you, knocking you out of top ten, and saving you from being exposed by some Midwest juggernaut. Maybe you'll get some nice bowl game against like a poser team like ole miss. Whatever, you've had a good season. Congrats. See you Saturday
