Love Sam. Always pulling for him. But as I have argued with Pasadena a couple years ago , he's just not a starting NFL quarterback. He has had his chances. I was hoping he would get a third chance with the Niners. He just did. The pick was a pseudo-hail mary from 25 yards out into the endzone. Can't really blame him for that. It's the play before when he took a sack on third and goal from the 2. Just can't take that sack. That's a rookie mistake. Not a starting quarterback mistake. At least he didn't fumble it. Can't hold the ball that long. sorry. you just can't hold it for almost 5 freaking seconds. throw the ball away. stupid play call. but still can't make that mistake.
As I posted a couple years ago Sam will have a nice career as a backup quarterback for a decade, just like barney barkley. He may come in and win some games, and that's great.
Love Caleb too. He's not an NFL any kind of quarterback at all. Love to see him prove me wrong. sc
