Oregon only had one more scoring possession than the Bruins (7 to 6) and the voters noticed. Charbs ran all over them, which looked good. Next game vs Ducks settle for a couple fewer fgs and force a few more. And no fluke onside kicks.

oh pleeeeeze....ucly steamrolls the Indians
#12? Do you people really give a shit?
The difference is, Oregon scored TDs on almost every drive, and UCLA scored FGs on three of their 6 scoring possessions. Also, Oregon could have had another TD at the end, in garbage clock-burning time. The game wasn't that close. It was until the onside kick, then everything changed.
The good news is, you can get beat pretty badly by a highly-ranked team and not drop too precipitously in the rankings if you're also highly-ranked.
If your team hasn’t beaten a ranked team…no comments. That’s the rule.
Did you enjoy your 5 mins in the Top 10?
Credit where credit is due. The onside kick was not only a great call but it was flawlessly executed. I wonder if the kicker was the only one who knew about it ahead of time. It was designed for him to recover and the kick was perfect.
So the post-game headline should have been:
”BRUINS KICK OREGON’S ASS; LATE TD CUTS FINAL DEFECIT TO A RESPECTABLE 45-30”
Something like that?
