We’ll agree to disagree. I knew Franklin would make plays but to act like Oregon is so fast and the Bruins couldn’t catch them isn’t accurate. Their TEs are slow and the RB was quick but not fast.

Those touchdowns you mentioned were the results of speed from a really good receiver. But it was also their offensive line, who pushed our front seven around in the worst kind of way. Osling had 17 tackles! When a defensive back gets 17 tackles, you know your front seven is getting killed.

It didn't help that Bo Nix had the game of his life: the guy is good, but our defense made him better. Look, their offense is much better than the UCLA defense, but their defense limited UCLA just enough when it mattered most, and that was the difference. They scored touchdowns, we scored field goals on 3 important drives. That's 12 points right there.

Franklin is fast but he didn’t win the game by himself. Tennessee put 52 on Bama and it wasn’t because Tennessee was faster. The problem on Saturday was that the Bruins strategy of run blitzing and stunta backfired almost every time and Medrano left guys uncovered down the left sideline. he didn’t lose a foot race, he didn’t bother covering the TE.

In a rematch, the Ducks will run well again, but the Bruins should adjust enough to force them into more than 1 fg and more than 1 punt. Oregon lost by 46 to GA and beat WSU by 3. This isn’t some super team. UCLA has to fix their run defense in a hurry. Right now, Air Force would rush for 300 yards on them.

If Stanford can beat ND in South Bend they can beat UCLA
