As bad as the defense is

The refs sure don't help. Nix has all day. Lots of jersey grabbing not being called.

Lanning was actually smart on that drive. Took half the quarter to score just to make sure Caleb can't get hot enough to come back.

The transfer portal opening will fascinating. I see many guys bailing on their own and others getting the boot. Roster will largely turnover next year. Sure hope they have better talent judgment.

They whiffed a lot last time.

This year there are far fewer guys in the portal. So I'm not sure the choices will be the same. Don't know how many usc guys will bail on them.

Agree the portal will be tougher to navigate. I do think Riley will send more guys packing and that will come with a lot of risk. Likely will also see more guys than we want just opt out of the program.

Just saying there is not a huge pool of transfer talent out there this year. Not sure who there is to get. They will get a good qb. Beyond that I don't know

Unless they hire a DC with a crew that can recruit, I agree there wil be slim pickings especially in the Portal where USC seems to need to get underclassmen in the trenches and LBer core....the DB's at USC were all highly rated but oviously got little coaching and were overwhelmed by the scheme and lack of fundamentals....perhaps a good coaching job can fix it but who knows where the hiring goes
