And we're not Auburn. Wtf is this? Not that it makes feel better... well it sort of does. Having been to the plains for a game , I know how much those people care about football. Good people that just keep firing coaches and digging the hole deeper.
LOL BigBallss, so true. I used to be pissed off for a week after my team lost. Now at age 81, I am over it in 5 minutes and thankful for all the good things I have. While it is fun to be involved as a fan, it is not worth losing sleep over.
Hmmm...I was just thinking this past Saturday. I know UW's current 18 game win streak will come to an end soon and I was ~almost~ wanting to lose to OSU this past weekend (no shame losing to the number 11 team) and get it done and over with.
But not against WSU and (most lilely) UO is the next two weeks though.
It still takes me longer than 5 minutes, but it doesn't take me nearly as long as it used to. I can get over it probably within a few hours, maybe a day if it's a really big game.
The absolute worst for me was back in the 1980s if the Lakers lost a playoff series. It would ruin my entire summer. I was an absolute basket case. I started to get over that as the years went by. It just wasn't worth the aggravation. And once I finally got it that it had nothing to do with me, and that there was no way I can control it, a sense of freedom developed.
Yup, I think that is the key not allowing those events we have no control over to stress us out. Better to use our energies on those situations where we do have some control.
I have a lot of friends who are Gopher fans. One of them told me he figured out the key to being a sane fan: don't develop any hope.
I think taking Riley off USC's hands will fix their offense.

NMSU would beat USC. They play tough and have a good QB. No joke.
