The big 12 is offering their top teams a 150% share to stay like P12 should offer SC and maybe Oregon. The bottom tier shit schools like WSU, Cal, UCLA, Stanford, OSU, and Colorado should get the smallest share of football revenue. A 2nd higher tier like UW and Utah should get a higher share with the a top tier with SC and Oregon getting the highest share.
"According to Dodd, the Big 12 could offer increased revenues to both the Longhorns and Sooners in a last-ditch effort to keep the schools. In doing so, the league would reduce the financial payout to other institutions.
“Such a structure would grant the Longhorns and Sooners an additional half-share annually (1.5 shares each), bumping their payouts to approximately $56 million per year,” Dodd writes. “The other eight schools would decrease their payouts accordingly. Big 12 schools currently average $37 million in annual TV rights earnings, including revenue from bowl games and the NCAA Tournament.”"
It has always seemed odd to me that the revenue is spread out in equal shares when only a few schools bring in the bulk of the revenue.
