Oklahoma officially retains Bill Bedenbaugh as O-line coach; won't go to USC (msn.com)
The USC Trojans are still looking for an offensive line coach. Bill Bedenbaugh, Oklahoma’s offensive line coach, was initially believed to be heading to Los Angeles with Lincoln Riley on the night of Nov. 28, hours after Riley was hired by Mike Bohn.
However, Bedenbaugh did not hop on a plane to L.A. He wasn’t officially announced as part of Riley’s staff. Everyone wondered what was going to happen.
Now we know: He is staying at Oklahoma.
Bruce Feldman of The Athletic and Fox Sports reported that Bedenbaugh was staying on Friday afternoon. The University of Oklahoma put forth an official release confirming this particular move by incoming head coach Brent Venables. The Sooners announced other hires on Venables’ staff.
Some guys want nothing to do with California and LA.
I get it.
Old news....so old that I'm sure Riley was aware of this turn of events for awhile. I would think he has been evluating OL coaches across the country to find the right fit. I recommended earlier that he look at the Cincinnati OL coach...guy is good if you watch his OL and I suspect he is not a high price canldidate and he has experience at coaching a Riley like offense...
BOHNED GOT PLAYED!!! I WARNED YOU! SKI ON!
That was news 3-4 days ago. it was more than slightly obvious before that when he didnt come.
