@Java good post Java. people handle death in different ways. sad to hear grandma felt lonely and forgotten. that should never happen to a person who cared for others. She deserved better. what a great life she had. I’m sure she felt complete and happy with her life and brood. I have two nephews that I’m raising. they are 14 and 12 and have lived with me for 9 years. The parents visit every now and then.those two have become my heartbeat. We watch every USC game together. they are also not the first children that have lived in my household. My funeral is going to be lit! that kid will not forget your help And what you did. Sounds like you got to know at least two of your grandparents for a long time. All of my grandparents were gone by my late 20's.

@ATLBRUIN Yeah when she died I kinda refused to be sad. Meaning I said gosh she lived to be 100. My other grandmother to 96. Grandpa to 94. I mean, I don't have any place feeling bitter or left wanting. My parents are still alive, pushing 80. I was about 43-45 when my first Grandmother died and mid 40's when Grandpa went. And now 50's. The only thing that hit me is when it occurred to me that I am no longer a grandson. I don't have a grandparent. That was a little daunting but again, those are long lives. My dad lost his dad when he was 22-23, before I was born. So for me to know all of them in me 40s-50s, I just dont have a leg to stand on in shedding any tears. I mean I shed a couple but you know.
