The NIL is the issue. Let the schools pay the players and set salary caps based upon years at the school, GPA, starter versus non starter and bonus for making All Confernce or AA. Prohibit schools and or boosters companies from paying HS kids by making them ineligible to play if the receive NIL in HS and in College...Colleges pay them should be all that is required....cap the total dollars a school can pay in salaries.
These bowl games mean nothing. Really shetty deal for the school and it’s fans. The 12 team playoff should greatly reduce the star player opt outs. Also think they tweak the TP rules soon, probably after the summer portal signings.
My bad- major brain fog this morning. As far as reform, I think most of the changes will be with the NIL stuff. But they might tweak the TP as well. My GUESS,,, less windows to leave (maybe eliminate the winter portal). Limit the amount of times you can transfer without sitting out a year.…. This feels less like college football every day. These smaller schools are getting crushed. If they don’t do something soon, there are going to be 40-50 schools who will actually be in the mix insteadof the 130 or so teams we have now (fbs).

And will not play in the bowl game.
