After Ramsey de-comitted from Stanford, UCLA jumped out in front and landed the highly regarded safety prospect. Per Biggins, “I already visited UCLA back in the summer so I don’t think I really saw anything on the visit, it was more about being around the players and coaches. I already had a lot of the information about the school and there were a lot of positive things about UCLA that I liked a lot and just my comfort level was really strong.”
Ramsey is among the nation's top safety prospects and is one of the more versatile ones as well. You don't hear the terms 'free' or 'strong' safety much any more as the safety position has become more of a hybrid and Ramsey fits that perfectly.
He has the ability to cover and shows free safety range but is very physical and can stuff the run like your traditional strong safety. He's just as comfortable in run support as he is playing deep coverage and is highly instinctive as well.
He flashes good ball skills, is one of the biggest hitters in the region and plays the kind of physical game you love to see in a defensive back."
I'm hoping we can do the same with a Stanford LB commit from MD, Bailey. It apparently doesn't sound promising. Not sure if he's signed anywhere yet.
and 5 star rb Maleek signed LOI with USC....no boom there...
