Very well deserved. I knew it was only a matter of time until he was inducted. A lot of people think that length of career is a deal-breaker, but not if you're good enough. The great center Dwight Stephenson played fewer than 8 full years and he made it. Kenny Easley only played 7 years. It has to do with the quality of the athlete i.e. performance, not necessarily the longevity.
Congrats to Tony. Nice to see Dick V. make it as well.
I think Ronnie Lott may have been a little bit better, but not by much. The reason I would put Kenny Easley over Polamalu was that Easley could have played many positions on the field at an equally high level. He returned kicks and punts and was just an absolute total football player...not that Polamalu was not, so you're not wrong.
@thesquat I don't doubt it. The best athletes can play almost any position. Polamalu, Lott, and Easley could have played tackle if they were big enough.
I always thought that about Matt Grootegoed. The only reason he didn't play in the NFL was size. He had all the skills, instincts, and heart to play at the highest level. Just wasn't blessed with the height.

Like that Fight On sign TB!!
That’s outstanding! Always a huge fan of his….. I believe he will be the 14th USC Trojan inducted. ND is #2 with 13.
And deservedly so a great tackle drafted by the Jags in 95
