all teams making the playoffs last year averaged at least 40 points per game on offense during the regular season
despite Georgia and Michigan having 'top ten' defenses and the Buckeyes one in the top 25
all teams making the playoffs last year gave up more than 40 points at least once
especially in the playoffs
Big Blue once (playoffs)
Georgia once (playoffs)
the OSU twice (playoffs and CCG)
Horny Toads thrice (twice in the playoffs, once in conference play)
Do 'top 25' defenses really evaporate against elite offenses?

The whole game has changed. In the old days, championship teams never gave up that kind of yardage and number of points. They've been hamstrung by rules that favor offense and guarantee lots of points.
Football today is a shell of its former self. In ten years, if it's even around, football will be strictly for fags. And that's excellent news for USC.
Well you're not allowed to hit anyone with the ball, which is kinda the point of the game.
Offenses are being given the upper hand and that will continue on the path to the 7 on 7 touch game the ncaa/tptb envision for the future.
It does appear that elite offenses rule the day in college football, even against top defenses.
Legit football post. Which is why it was ignored lol
