I suppose in certain scenarios it could. But I'm wondering if any one-loss team from the Pac-12 would make it to the playoffs. There are too many variables at this point.
The winner of the UCLA-Oregon game will be in the driver's seat for the Pac 12 title game, and then things will become a little more clear. But regardless of who wins, the UCLA-USC game looms large, with trap games in-between.
Utah may be out of the playoff picture, but they're not out of the Pac 12 race if they win out, which could also mean a Rose Bowl berth. But, again, still too murky at this point.
I saw that on another page. Would be cool for Zach Charbonnet to play against his old school. Still not sure why he transferred from M, but, I am glad he did.
So that means USC is in the playoff game.
If that happens, that would mean UCLA has done something they haven't done since 1998 -- win the conference. I'll take it.
If they beat Michigan, that will be something they haven't done since 2000 -- beat Michigan.
The Bruins haven't done well against the Wolverines, only 3-8 all-time. Michigan looks awfully good this season.
