He’s a future HOFer. Takent trumps size in all sports. Young has more natural QB talent than anyone since Mahomes was drafted. He played 3 years in the SEC and got hurt once, on a freak play. Bears are going to trade down and take a player who will make All-pro once or twice and not make any difference in the standings. That’s why they’re the Bears.
Ohio St's receivers made UGA's defense look mediocre. Stroud hasn't shown the ability to read defense or extend or make plays like Young has. The kid from Florida who only got to play one season looked better to me then Stroud ans fits the NFL's idea of a QB better then both of them.
He’s a slow Kyler Murray. Heis smart kid, good arm, accurate passer…but he’s too small. He’s going to get killed up there, unless he gets to a team with a good OL , and even then…
Personally I think 195-200 would be fine. Josh McCowan thinks Bryce Young has a very strong core that is deceiving as he showed him ripping away LSU defenders to make plays. He explained that those LSU guys were going to being playing defense in the NFL that Young was brushing off.
I’m just giving you a little ribbing. I agree on Young’s talent level but he does look tiny, by NFL standards , and I would be Leary if he can hold up to the rigors of the NFL. Time will tell.
No trash at all. Just pointing out that Bryce Young is fundamentally more finished product and has shown that he can read defenses better then Caleb. As far as physical talent Caleb is more talented. As an example watching the LSU game when Young was under tremendous pressure he had both hands on the ball as he tried to extend the play scrambling around and secure the football while doing it. Caleb lets the ball dangle out there when he's trying to extend the play. While Young was extending the play his eyes stayed downfield, Caleb doesn't always do that and loses his concentration but physically he's bigger, stronger and faster then Bryce. He has a great arm but I'm not convinced he can make all the throws accurately. Perhaps if Riley opens up his passing game that requires more kinds of throws I'll see a different passer with more accuracy. Caleb to me runs hot and cold with his accuracy. Mostly hot but sometimes he just can't move the offense and his throws are off.
Combine starts weigh in's today and rumor has it Young will come in at 200 or very close to it

Height not the issue. I just don't think he's that good and he's had a huge talent advantage in every game he's played in at Bama.
that must be why Kyler Murray went first round
instead of
you know
HIGHER
Ouch, plus he's pretty slight unlike Kyler Murray or Russell Wilson. Did they list his weight? He can't be more than 175 lbs at that height.
Isn't Skyler Murray only like 5' 4"?
