That to me is the most surprising buyout. I suppose it probably isn't, not really, when you consider what coaches make these days. But like I posted in another post, that 8.7 million dollars is pretty much more money combined than he made in 12 years between head coaching jobs. If it's not, it's pretty close. I never understood why Colorado hired him in the first place. What in the Sam Fuck were those people thinking? Or smoking?
Apparently he is a really good guy and a fantastic interviewer. Have heard that he can really sell a vision. Unfortunately for all involved he cannot make that vision a reality.
I think if somebody gave him enough time and patience, he might be able to make his offenses work in the NFL, where it's a job for everybody involved and they don't have to worry about anything except football. And, most importantly, you don't have turnover in personnel as much. But in college his offenses have been absolute shitshows.
When I see professional athletes sign these seemingly outrageous money deals, I can’t help but think, how much money are the owners making? Same with the Universities. $9 mill a year is peanuts compared to several hundred million in football generated revenue. Jimbo is failing, much to a lot of peoples surprise. But his resume was pretty good. But guys like Dorrell, Tucker, Frost, etc getting millions on the come is crazy. Riley makes sense too, no national championship, but a pretty damn good track record for a guy in his 30’s.
Jack Welch – $417,361,902
Bob Nardelli – $223,290,123
Hank McKinnel – $188,329,553
The best job around is a failed Power 5 head football coach.
unlike USC, Texas a and m could actually write that check . sc
That Fisher/Summin stat is crazy.
Karl Dorrell can buy some sweet rims with that 8.7.

I want Jimbo Fisher's agent.
