I know there are doubters and he has an entire season after this one but he is on track in many peoples opinion. So far in 2022, Almost 2000 passing yards with 19 TD’s and one pick. He had over 500 total yards Saturday. Carson Palmer‘s soph year he had 16 td’s and 18 picks. Oh, but that was under Hackett you say? Junior year under Chow , Palmer had 13 td’s and 12 picks. Palmer’s best year, and only good year, he had 10 picks, 33 td’s. You could count on Palmer to turn the ball over, and too often in a critical moment. I don’t recall a single comeback victory in crunch time for CP. but I recall him failing many times. Kansas State at home and on the road, WSU on the road. I single out Cp because some think, he is the best SC QB ever. Caleb is better and it’s not close.

good intel. CW is special.....but so was CP.....best QB USC has had...#1 overal NFL pick.
How will he do with 2.5 seconds to pass vs the 9 seconds he got vs Utah?
I will be there to hand him his diploma to make sure he goes to the NFL. That dude is way too good.
If the NFL is looking for a big arm and some sort of carnival freak show when it comes to escapability, then they need to look no further than Caleb Williams. As for his decision-making ability and his ability to read defenses, I'll leave that to the QB gurus. All I know is that any greased pig at any country fair never had anything on this guy.
I would say there needs to be quite an upward trajectory there. Remember. Most of the thinking. Adjustments. Reads Pre snap are all done by riley. Thats a critical area in the nfl and Caleb is notoriously bad there.
he hasn’t even mastered the fundamental concept of throwing the ball away when headed out of bounds. He takes forever in the pocket to make a decision. He has had so many near sacks because he stands there forever Every qb coach preaches the count. For a statue like Brady it’s one one thousand two one thousand go. For Caleb it should be 3 then go. And go might be dump it. Might be take off
he obviously has major upward potential but I’d like to actually see one complete game from him against a 500+ opponent. A victory against a ranked team before anointing him the top pick in the draft. I’ve seen at least 3-4 guys around cfb who are better at this point. Hooker stroud and young for sure. If he gets there he will take usc with him. But he has a long way to go.
