For me, of the last three games, this is our best matchup, other than Ucla.
UW d is not all world and should be exploitable with a healthy dose of CW pass/option. I like our run game too. In comparison, UW is one dimensional offensively. Yes Penix will be the best qb we've seen and yes their wrs are very good but I like our ability to cause turnovers.
If the oddsmakers only give the number 5 team in the country a 3pt spread, then they aren't sold either.
The game will be won in the trenches and our lines, along with CW must perform to their ability. SC does that, I see 42-35 w for SC.
In 1959 Washington went 10-1 and beat Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl easily. The one loss, USC. In 1984 Washington went 11-1, beat Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl, the one loss to an 9-3 USC team who went to the Rose Bowl and beat Ohio State 20-17. Husky dreams die in the Coliseum. LOL
UW hangs half a hundred on SC and wins by 21 +.
45-42, UW.
If the crowd shows up with energy and caleb plays QB and not streetball, USC will win. Doubtful those will happen.
Tight first quarter. Washington jumps out ahead in second quarter and pulls away 45-27. Garbage time TD pass from Moss.
Udub will light USC up.
Man, this one is hard to predict. Part of me says USC is tired of underperforming and is really ready to break out. The fact that this is a home game, and the crowd will be really into it, makes me think USC will get the W. That plus the fact that UW has been tempting too much fate lately, and I think they have doubts of their own.
But another part of me says that UW reminds themselves they beat Oregon, that they're undefeated, and that USC is on the ropes.
Still, I don't see UW delivering the knockout punch, especially on the road. I'll go with USC on this one.
If this were Nike, I'd probably feel differently.
Many ducks see Oregon State as the most dangerous team left for Oregon to face this regular season.
Me, nope--it's definitely USC.
For that same reason I see a win at the Coliseum vs Washington. I think UW has more to prove than USC at this point after recent uninspiring wins. Just need to rattle Penix, not easy to do, but definitely doable. And I think the lack of depth at UW will take its toll.
Will be a fun game on Saturday for sure!
Over/Under is laughably low at 75.
If SC plays up to potential on O, they have a great chance of winning....
I think that SC lucked out not having to play a 3rd sting quarterback again.
For whatever reason, grinch's genius defense has the most trouble with those. sc
I think the Trojans win this game. UW has been walking a tightrope the last few weeks. The USC defense can't stop much but the UW defense isn't scaring anyone either. A lot has to go right for USC including a few picks/ turnover but there is a legitimate shot to win this game. Obviously a high scoring affair
