Both SC and the gutties will have 1 loss when they meet ... it won’t be 1988 like but a lot of fun. It’s funny the winner might could get the better post season draw, the Rose or another big bowl. Rather than playing Georgia or Bama in Atlanta in some southern dump.
Ucla can lose to oregon. Ucla or usc lose at utah. Both beat them at home. Who can beat the ducks? Where do you play utah this year? Both ar turf teams so that’s a wash. I don’t see colorado or the az teams beating those 4. Nor Stanford. and not uw. So who beats those 4? Each other. And possibly cal. If cal plays them at home. Cal plays ucla at home. Utah hosts usc. Ucla already beat utah.
yeah it’s already narrowing severely. Uo imo has the best shot at one of two spots in the conference game. And ucla the other.
Utah at home can beat USC. There is this low key whisper around USC that Riley has been saving the playbook for a big game. Neilon alluded to that in a recent interview. I am always skeptical of any conspiracy theories. But maybe. There are three games USC can lose. One of them is this week @ Utah. Bruins and Irish are the other two, fortunately both are home games .
DTR isnt getting touched. easy to look good right now. see what he looks like under true adversity and on the road. Only road game has been Colorado Lol.
USC is Top 15
UCLA is Top 12. Has easy road after Oregon. USC could or could not ruin its season There at end. I would favor ucla after what i saw yesterday and last week.
Yeah, I think Stroud is the favorite to win that award, whatever it's called.
I think the Bruins are doing well, and I don't want to put a damper on it. But that offense hasn't really faced a tough defense yet.* Utah has a very good offense, and I'm pleased the UCLA defense didn't break (despite bending quite a bit) and came up with some huge turnovers, so credit to them. But defensively the Utes just aren't very good. Credit Charbonnet and Bobo and DTR for making them look silly, because those Bruins did have a lot to do with that. But if you go back to Utah's previous five games and watch some of them, their defense just isn't what it normally is.
USC vs. Utah is going to be an interesting watch. Don Rickles Stadium is a tough venue, and the crowd will be into it (ditto for UCLA up in Eugene the following week). But I don't see USC having trouble moving the ball and scoring points. But similarly, I think the USC defense is going to really have their hands full against the Utah offense. This game is going to come down to which team is the most disciplined and makes the fewer mistakes, because I don't see either team running away with it.
*The good news for UCLA is they may not face a better defense this season (until maybe the bowl game) than Utah. Possibly Oregon. Also, nowadays it unfortunately seems that giving up 400 total yards to any team is acceptable; in the old days, any team that even approached 400 years was almost always in the W category.
Bama with Young can beat the Bruins. Ohio State can beat them too.
