If so, why wouldn't every defensive coordinator do this?
Sure you can coach kids to attack the football and not wrap up , that should increase the chances of fumbles. That's the ultimate sell out give up yards in hopes of creating a couple fumbles.
But that is NOT what SC is doing . SC is getting interceptions. And the old saying is that pressure on the quarterback causes picks and tight coverage of receivers causes sacks. Well, SC isn't pressuring the quarterback either. SC should also lead the nation in sacks, and they rarely get close to the quarterback. SC doesn't cause more hurries than, well anyone.
So why so many 11 picks of the 14 turnovers this season? Can it all be luck? Any ideas?
At the end of the game yesterday OSU was running the ball well 6 or 8 yards a pop, and for unexplained reasons started throwing the ball and throwing picks, when they needed to milk the clock. Why? I have no idea. Have to ask Johnathan Smith.
Is it better to be lucky than good? So far it has for Troy. 4 and 0 and next week is against ETCU with rumors that their recent head coach was so hated by his staff, that that staff leaked game plans to opponents to for his firing. Didn't ETCU also fix basketball scores back in the 80's? Why that school was let in the pac in the first place has never made sense to me.
Everything hinges on Caleb staying upright but it looks like 5 and 0 is a gimme. With or without throwing double sixes again and relying on continued blessings from the turnover gods probably won't be necessary. sc
He had to have meant Iran. Yes. Oc has persians all over it covering up that they are from Iran In fairness it’s not just oc. The whole westside does the same thing
Reminds me of the Defense Washington St had a few years back which was quite good with little talent....oh that's right Grinch was the DC at WSU at that time...coincident?
Your pre conceived opinion that our defense sucks is being proven wrong. Most people would just admit that they might be wrong. Instead what we get from you is that the interceptions are just luck. Sorry but that is a cop out. As for the interceptions , I haven’t seen a defense that tips so many balls which results in interceptions. And Gentry a line backer at 6’6 “ is a human disrupter of the passing game . By the way you may have missed it but Grinch makes great halftime adjustments. Relax SC and enjoy the ride. This is going to be a fun season
everybody averages 7 yds a carry against USC defense.
Isn't it funny how no one in Orange County is from Iraq?
Everyone is from Persia.
Now, in Tempe and Chandler, AZ everyone is from Iraq. Go figure.
