The other thing in play here is Beck had a big year at UGA when Todd Monken was OC. Monken left for NFL. CKP hires Mike Bobo as OC who has sucked everywhere he has been. Beck's numbers drop off under Bobo. He looks for somewhere he can rehab his statistics to up his NFL draft stock since he can't throw this spring in draft trials. Shannon Dawson's offense at Miami let's him throw it all over the yard. Worked for Cam Ward. Miami's sugar daddy cuts a fat check. Just like magic.
