When I was a kid, I wanted the #12 jersey, my mom wouldnt buy it because” you already have the #28 and it still fits you pretty good.”. The #28 was so worn from washings, from a distance the 8 looked like a 6. 😂

One of my all time favorite Trojans. He was about as good as it gets and his highlights and stats still stand up. I always loved that great comeback year he had with the Rams, too.

RIP, Charlie.

Charlie was as tough as they come - even at 5'10" and a buck-eighty. He always followed his blocks, hit the hole hard and fast. A great Trojan. God rest his soul.
