Looks like he gets his $17 million. Apparently he lost the team Last year during the social justice stuff. On the trip to UCLA administrators were embarrassed by the sissy blue shirt comments. And I guess in the locker room with an earshot of the athletic director another school officials he yelled to his team that “they can fire my @$$” that he didn’t care. And that did not go over well either
W the team the social justice stuff didn’t play well but apparently also Orgeron had a stricter than necessary drug testing policy. And the players did not like that at all. And get this he had ramped up the amount of hitting in practice after initially taking it way down upon taking over from less miles. The guys did not like the amount of hitting and it prompted many departures. I find that interesting for all of the keyboard tough guy wannabes here on the board Who think that more hitting in practice makes you a real man and a real team. these would be guys who qualify themselves as football experts by quitting on their Alma Mater or having some time in their preteen years played “football or hockey” LOL
their philosophy. Carried out by their hero Ed. Ruined lsu football inside of 2 years
Orgeron will get a full buyout of his contract, $17 million. He was 49-17 overall, 13-5 against the top 10 and of course the magic 15-0 2019 season. He then lost a ton of talent in the next draft and has had a ton of injuries the last two years. LSU may have pulled the trigger a year early. Early front runner is Mel Tucker. Sounds at best as a lateral move. But at least EO is laughing all the way to the bank
I use to hate him but I cam to admire him. USC is going to have to compete with LSU for their next head coach. Were I a top coach, I would choose LSU over USC.
Whomever USC hires he/she/it (there has to be pc in selecting a new coach. why not a woman???) that coach should consider bringing Ed back to USC as an assistant, if Ed would come. Ed is a great motivator and great lineman recruiter.
He will walk away with a boatload of money and he can point to one of the greatest seasons in college football history. LSU then lost more talent in the following draft and have yet to recover. maybe a little early to pull the trigger but then again they may be doing him a favor. Life is to short to put up with moronic fans who expect 15-0 every year. Ed is going to be fine not sure about LSU.
rent free.
enjoy your ""beach"". sc

Ed O really F'd up this time
Letting his girlfriends' kids interrupt practice and hitting on a high ranking LSU official's pregnant wife? Classy dude, that Ed O.

Panthers OC (& ex LSU Coach) Joe Brady is a strong possibility.
