About 3 1/2 years ago, I heard this interesting story from Joel Klatt on the Cowherd show about C.Jim Harbaugh. Here’s the story according to Joel Klatt.
In 2020, Jim calls his brother John Harbaugh, HC for the NFL Baltimore Ravens for advice. Jim is on the hot seat at Michigan; rumors are flying that they are looking to replace him. Jim says to John, I need your awesome D. You have 2 fine D coaches, Mike MacDonald and Jesse Minter can you spare one. John being a good brother gives Jim, Jesse Minter and that's what da Dr. ordered.
As soon Minter is hired and comes over to Michigan, he quickly puts together an A+ D staff, reshaping, recruiting & producing a killer D. In one year, Jim Harbaugh and Michigan becomes a dominate team. Most importantly beats Ohio St and wins the Big 10 title.
The story is much longer; this is the crutch of Jim’s call to his brother John. In essence, John Harbaugh is responsible for Jim’s newly found success + saved his job at Michigan… Cheers.
PS. A team can get fixed and win a Championship in a short time C. PC did it in 2 years. Freaken C. LR has been here 3 years and the FB program is going down hill and in the dumps.
2nd story about Jim Harbaugh and what makes him a great coach.
We all know C.PC was a very competitive guy and coach. He wanted to win at everything he did. Even his AC and players knew that about him from winning FB games, pickup basketball, cards, table tennis, recruiting, etc..
I remember C.PC complimented C.Jim Harbaugh when Stanford beat USC saying, JH is super competitive and a very smart coach. Players and coaches know who da Dogs are.
It seems the key ingredient to be great; one has to be super competitive and want to win…
Definitely not HC material until he either wins something big or is a steady performer at a high level, like playoffs every year for 3-4 years with some success
I'm sure they would bring him in as an OC/QB guru somewhere
Harbaugh won 10 games just about every year. His crime? He couldn’t beat some of the very best OSU teams in history while he had bad QBs. Once he got JJ - easy Ws vs OSU.
He has already turned around the Chargers. Dude can coach.
Jim Harbaugh’s Hail Mary story.

I remember someone having Sanders in their coach rankings a year ago. Now everyone sees and has caught up. Congratulations.
Ballss, shoot any chance Dallas or any other NFL team go after C. LR? Crossing my fingers...
