Confusing Darnold headline

I thought I was the only hater. ? That I just didn’t believe in Jesus in cleats. Aka Sam. But everyone else saw the light? That was overreacting with my comments about him holding the ball too long and turning it over.

Shit it off at work. Finished payroll. Got dinner. Came home to turn on Laker game and apparently Sam didn’t stage a comeback. And despite his pro bowl this headline labels Sam’s performance as disastrous.

Looks like I’m not the only one thinking he might now be a Viking much longer.

I like Darnold, but I don't think it's a tough decision at all. Let him walk and go with McCarthy.

Poor Sam lost a shitload of money the past couple of weeks. Like, well over $100 million. Yikes.

I was thinking after this season you bring him back.

I guess the real question is “who is Sam Darnold?“. He see the guy we saw the last two weeks or is he the guy we saw for 15 weeks. You could argue that people can play on a high and play on a plateau and maybe he did and I guess you can argue that he showed us for seven years who he was And that’s the guy we saw the last two weeks

But I think that team had a great year and I’d offer him the same contract. Problem is you drafted a rookie and need to work him in. And that might be a disruptive process.

If you hand the team to the kid that could be a step back and by the time he is ready to step up the window has closed.

Sam wins either way. If Vikings don’t franchise him or sign him to a 3 year deal for say $35 mill a year, someone will. He is still better then half the starting quarterbacks in the

NFL. And no one has any idea how good McCarthy is. Last night Mahomes would have failed. How many times this year did a quarterback get sacked 9 times?

And when they did How did they do? Sam is going to be fine.

What did Sam show in the last two games that demonstrates to anybody that he’s a different quarterback than he was the first seven years in the league?

If the answer is that the doubt linger then now you have a guy who is either at or very near 30 who well I’ve been given up on by four teams in seven years

And you think someone is going to give him three years at 35 million a year? I don’t. I think he will either get another prove it deal for a year with a qb hungry team or he will get back up money. I would be stunned to see him get more than $35 million total on this contract. And I think it would take 3 years to do it. And I just don’t see anyone giving him a 3 year deal.

I truly think fraud and balls and others are right. I think he just lost about 100-140 million in two weeks
