Ravens DC is a head coaching candidate and Lynn, who San C says doesn't know how to call plays and is making it up as he goes along, is highly thought of by his former employer. So much so that Lynn may be hired before he coaches a down at USC.
Riley, Kasparov that he is, apparently already has a plan in place.
Doug Belk was the previous DC in Houston and could handle the task. Former RFrank Broyles award candidate.
Matt Entz is the LB coach already and was the head coach at NDSU. Probably yhe DC too I imagine. Would not be a stretch at all to envision him there.
Shaun Nua remains at DL coach.
It is expected Manning and Odom, the LB coaches, are gone. Big changes since both were Riley's boys from OK
Donte Williams is already gone.
Lynn is a DB coach. Belk is a DB coach. Not much room for a 3rd. But if Lynn left, Taylor Mays, who did a fantasic job with the DB's during Holiday Bowl prep, would be in line for a full time job vacated by Lynn in the secondary.
All in all, that appears to be your defensive staff. 4 defensive coaches.
On offensive there is Simmons for WR. Henson for OL, Hanson for TE. Mc Donald for QB and Riley for QB and OC though Henson actually has that title.
If I am right and all the offensive coaches stay where they are and the D coached I am predicting actually leave? USC has one staff opening and that could either be a ST coach or room for another D coch somewhere. I don't sense Entz really wants help with the LB. USC doesn't need 3 DB coaches. So doesn't look like any room for Mays unless Lynn leaves.
uh ok, sure they are. lmao. sc
LOL. Riley is not in charge of hiring. Jen Cohen is.
lmao at Riley trying to play chess. He stuck with Grinch when he should have left him in the Indian Territories. The man probably struggles with chinese checkers.
You don't get it. Riley doesn't care about D.
