He had an overthrow that would have been an easy td and on a few of those sacks it seems like he could have reacted quicker and evaded the rush and at least thrown it away. His good passes came against bad teams.
Looks like the last great Bruin QB is still McNown. Bruins fans were wrong again to think they had a great QB. Oh well.
He'll get better. I was in favor of him being replaced at halftime on saturday. But the more I thought about it the more I think it was a good idea to keep him in there. If you're going to go with the starting quarterback, go with the starting quarterback. The Bruins weren't going to win the conference this year anyway and they need to get this guy ready for Big Ten play. He'll get better with more experience.
not to worry
Venables still has some eligibility left
How many drops were there 8? True not a great day for the freshman and he missed some open receivers but a perfect pass for a TD dropped by Norwood doesn't help. You just can't drop that pass on the road that ultimately would have resulted in overtime.
The 70 yd strike to Sturdivant was as pretty as it gets, laying it over a defender. That just isn't your typical pass a freshman makes.
Just be patient , the O-line has to get in sync you lost 3 starters to the NFL. They had a horrible game.
yes he is. He just needs to learn how to move in the pocket, or he is going to get Sloviced.
Lightning quick release. Sees the field well. can make all the throws. actually pretty fast when he decides to run.
just needs to be coached up. sc
