I was wondering where you got the 4/5 date. But , yeah I saw that scheduled commitment date. Looks like a Trojan 🔐. Highest rated RB in California this cycle. Considering the hemorrhage of talent leaving California in recent years this is a huge move for USC.
Oh you meant the questions I have for Chad Bowden?
I have had some of them awhile. I mean aren’t we all curious how the money works? When it’s paid? What guarantees there are? Aren’t we all wondering if it’s one year or 4 years ? And why you’d pay a frosh much and what if he’s a senior starter?
The tax questions are legit because I’m not skating $25. For a hat. I don’t give a crap. I own hats. I want a qb. A DE. I want a NC. So imo that takes real donors. $10,000. $100,000. How many of those are out there and how do we get more? And when you donate at that level what are the tax implications? My understanding is that donations to a collective where the money goes straight to a player is not tax deductible. So now I’m thinking what is tax deductible and how does that benefit the program? And what is the program doing to shift funds that way?
As an example, can I donate money and have it be tax deductible and have everyone else do the same and have USC use that money to pay the electric bill to pay the gardener to pay the phone bill to pay for coaches and all that stuff. And therefore What used to pay those expenses like ticket revenue and TV revenue can that be shifted to paying players? That way, the university gets their expenses paid the players get paid and donations. Remain tax deductible. So I would ask what are the accountants doing to help us win?
