He’s a guy I would have taken in a later round. I believe in taking a quarterback every year, preferably outside the first round. And hoping that you strike Gold once every five years or so and if you do, then you don’t need to take one in any of the rounds for a few more years and then you started all over again. I kind of feel like this is what Pittsburgh does.
Either way there are a lot of guys who sort of slept through the cracks. Small college guys guys who played on losing teams. Two names that intrigued me were Spencer Rattler. And that Notre Dame guy who thinks he’s the young version of Mr. Dos Equis. There are a few others out there worth looking at I think tuas brother from Maryland is possibly worth a late round shot
Most don’t pan out, but they don’t need to. You draft them to be your back up or third stringer assuming you get them second round or lower they come very cheap. You give them a year or two and by that time the next kid you’ve drafted steps in assuming the first one wasn’t going to be the next Brock Purdy.
Spencer Rattler's problem is he's much like Sam Darnold...talented but turns the ball over and likes to freelance at the wrong times...million dollar arm ...dime head....
