I was there too. Quite possibly my favorite game. The streak buster was like being released from Hell. Never forget Mark Cusano, the hand of God. 1996? Earned JR 2 another year, sadly. Hackett probably never happens if they make the move then.
But 2002 was just pure joy. Pounding ND over and over. Physically. Schematically. Running, throwing. It was a varsity versus JV game and what I had waited my whole life it seems, to see.
We did the same thing to ND this year , physically dominate and easy win. Final score should have been 38-21 which was comparable to Palmers USC win over the Irish
Back to back to back 31 point blowouts vs ND, '02-'04: 44-13, 45-14, 41-10. I went to all three of the games, including at ND in 2003, my only visit to South Bend

DTR's chance ended saturday night.
If CW lights up ND, he will win. The media luv this game.
Boost
Didnt recall ND being 10-1 and this being a Top 7 match up. very nice!
Look at CP3’s finish to the season.
19-2 TD/INT ratio ✌️
That night is One of my fondest USC fandom memories.
Finally beating ND. Not the streak buster & Coach Lou‘s sendoff (thank you Sammy Knight!) but still way too far and few between. Fall weather.
My bundled 5 year old and wife were with me.
CP3 throwing lasers. Record throwing Night against any Irish Team.
CP3’s long and varied career finishing on the top of the mountain.
USCs rise to relevance again.
special special night & time
I’m ready for a sequel
