The USC D especially the secondary. Is simpler, more aggressive. and pretty good.
The USC WR are going to be really hard to contain. By anyone. Anywhere. Thats one thing I noticed last night watching the Holiday bowl. I thought gosh, if these guys get more reps with Moss and grow up a bit, you can't cover all of them. USC has about 5 #1 WR types.
Miller Moss is still running the Offense. Meaning. Not making negative plays. Taking what's there. And he throws a really catchable ball. No wonder his WR love him.
I was afraid they'd open up flat or get way behind due to jitters early. Instead. early on it's USC who has made the plays. USC up 7-0 and LSU had the ball first. When you are up and you're getting the ball to open the 2nd that is a big plus.
So far so good. Pleasantly surprised
Not bad for a coach whose program is falling apart, can't recruit and doesn't know how to coach.
Corners playing soft may have something to do with the fact that the starters are not their best cover corners but should be solid tacklers and have a better understanding of the defense...IMHO
My only complaint is far off the LOS our CBs are.
Like to see tighter coverage
Secondary is playing soft. LSU WRs and TEs are wide open.
Don't know about the secondary. Tackling is better, coverage is really soft. Need to double lacy and make nussmeyer throw to someone else.
Disconcerting signals is NOT new to PAC12 teams
