A four-star prospect from the 2018 class, Fleeks played a variety of roles during his time with the Bears. He played slot receiver, returned kicks and actually switched to running back ahead of the 2022 season. Though, he received only three carries this year before opting to transfer.
Jarrett Paul, CB, Kansas Date Entered: 9-29-22
Paul came to Kansas this offseason as a transfer from Eastern Michigan. The 6-foot, 192-pound cornerback played 46 defensive snaps for the Jayhawks before opting to transfer. Initially a Rutgers signee out of high school, Paul posted 46 tackles and 6 passes defended in 2021 for the Eagles.
Hank Bachmeier, QB, Boise State Date Entered: 9-27-22
The most recognizable name in the portal thus far, Bachmeier departed Boise State following the firing of Broncos offensive coordinator Tim Plough. Bachmeier threw for 6,605 yards and 41 touchdowns in his four-year starting career.
Gary Bryant, WR, USC Date Entered: NA
USC head coach Lincoln Riley announced on Sept. 20 that Bryant plans to use his redshirt season in 2022. He caught 2 passes in the Trojans’ first three games. A source close to the situation indicated Bryant, a former top-50 recruit, is likely to transfer this offseason.
Dacari Collins, WR, Clemson Date Entered: NA
Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney announced on Sept. 20 that Collins is no longer with the Tigers program and intends to transfer. Collins ranked as a four-star prospect in the 2021 class. He caught 16 passes for 221 yards as a true freshman.
Terrence Lewis, LB, UCF Date Entered: NA
Lewis wasn’t really “quiet” about his intentions to transfer. A few days after the Knights’ season debut, Lewis, in a since deleted tweet, announced his intention to enter the transfer portal. A five-star linebacker in the 2021 class, Lewis’ next destination would be his third after signing with Maryland out of high school and transferring to UCF this offseason.
Gavin Potter, LB, Kansas Date Entered: NA
Potter played in Kansas' first four games but left the program earlier this week. The fourth-year linebacker was a starter for the Jayhawks in 2021, finishing the year with 78 tackles, but had served in a backup capacity so far this season. Potter has 174 career tackles and will have two years of eligibility remaining at his next stop.
Roderick Daniels, WR, SMU Date Entered: NA
The Dallas Morning News sent shockwaves on Monday when it revealed that four SMU players would be opting to redshirt this season. Yet, only two of these players — Roderick Daniels and Chace Cromartie — have hinted at plans to utilize their redshirt season with the intent to transfer this offseason.
Daniels was one of the Mustangs’ top signees in the 2021 class. Yet, he’s only caught two passes for 76 yards through SMU’s first four games. As a true freshman, he reeled in 17 passes for 209 yards and a touchdown.
Chace Cromartie, S, SMU Date Entered: NA
The Dallas Morning News reported Monday that Cromartie plans to utilize his redshirt season in 2022 with the intention to transfer this offseason. A former starter for the Mustangs, Cromartie has posted 112 tackles and 4 TFLs in his career. He signed with SMU as part of the 2019 class.
Jacob Lacey, DL, Notre Dame Date Entered: NA
Lacey announced on Oct. 6 that he intends to redshirt and enter the transfer portal. Lacey played in four games for Notre Dame so far this season, posting 5 tackles, 2 TFLs and 2 sacks. He ranked as a four-star recruit in the 2019 class.
Robert Floyd, DB, Colorado State Date Entered: NA
Floyd announced his intention to enter the transfer portal on Oct. 5. Floyd posted 2 tackles early on in the 2022 season. A 2021 recruit, Floyd had a strong true freshman season for Colorado State with 33 tackles and a pair of interceptions.
Tyler Manoa, OT, UCLA Date Entered: NA
UCLA head coach Chip Kelly said on Oct. 5 that Manoa planned to redshirt and enter the transfer portal. A four-star prospect in the 2018 class, Manoa switched to the offensive side of the ball ahead of the 2022 season. He played in three games for the Bruins as the team's reserve left tackle.
