Seems to be the MO for coaches these days. Zion Branch had knee surgery and Riley called it "a procedure". It does seem to be the trend everywhere in college football. Not in the NFL where they are much more friendly to the gambling industry
I always found it funny that the NFL took such a hard ass attitude toward gamgling but insisted teams post injury lists whose sole purpose was to help the gamblers?
Funny thing...Gentry said Riley lied when the media was told the reason he wasn't seeing the field was because he was rusty. Did Riley get that from Grinch and went with it? Did Riley bench him for insubordination or was he really hurt? If I remember correctly Riley had no problem playing an injured player when CW was hurt but than again since Riley really is not real forthcoming with what they do at USC in prepare the team and likes not too much info coming out how bad is the kid hurt where he wouldn't be an improvement over the other kids playing LBer...???
I am really getting tired of LR treating injury news like the nuclear codes. Maybe he doesn't have to announce in advance that someone won't play, but when someone either doesn't show up or shows up in street clothes, or is carted off the field, I want to know (1) is he hurt, (2) how, and (3) when will he be back.

Injury is what I heard. Wont play this weekend either
