I don't like watching games at bars either because there are usually too many drunks and/or shitheads. Plus, it gets too expensive; after two quarters of football, the bar bill is already fifty dollars for a couple of beers and a couple of shots. Fuck that. But sometimes I still watch them there if I have to.

The better bet is the cigar store. All you have to do is buy a bigger cigar for anywhere because $8-20, and that'll last most of the game. Problem solved. Of course, if you don't smoke they'll kick you out, so that could be a problem.

Still, I'm so glad I don't have that huge cable bill that I was paying for tons of shit I never even watched. Trust me, it's a huge relief. I could afford the bill, as I'm sure you can, but it's a psychological burden lifted knowing I am not continuing to make those cocksuckers (as) rich.

and stupid me. I didn’t even realize you can take your direct rv with you. I should have just figured a way to get pac 12 network on my phone and then watch direct tv on phone projected to tv in Dana. Which is what I do w dodger games because cod doesn’t carry dodger channel

I bought a Roku and I really like it, but I haven't really checked it out for sports. It's great for other shit, though.

There's always a way to do this, but sometimes it gets complicated. Once I started to really narrow down my viewing habits, it became much easier.

The only reason I even had cable was because of Turner Classic Movies and AMC -- and the only reason I ever wanted to watch AMC was because of Better Call Saul. Once I realized that I could just watch Better Call Saul (albeit a season late) on Netflix through my Roku, AND once I started subscribing to the Criterion Channel ($100/year = the BEST value ever, if you like movies) through Roku and realized I could do without TCM, well, bye, bye, cable! I never watched anything else except the occasional UCLA game on ESPN and Pac 12 Network, and I finally decided I could just watch those games somewhere else.

There is just too much shit on cable and the dish-type networks! Most of it nobody ever watches, but they continue to charge too much and they continue to fuck people over, like the Mouse just did with ESPN. Not worth it!

I'm sure you can find a better way to watch sports and save a lot of money AND, best of all, tell the cable companies to fuck off at the same time.
