Eugene, Oregon ultimately drives coaches/their families crazy.

Small-ish rural college town.....despite UO it is mostly a blue-collar town (not even counting Springfield (aka "Spring-tucky") is a wet, rainy, cold town with little culture, crappy restaurants, overrun with homeless people and "WOKE" vibe. Nice place for young kids....but full of college student rental properties.....many in great need of repair. Eventually coaches wives go crazy (while hubby makes $MM's......they are stuck in the middle of nowhere).....Cristobal happy to "get a check for a few years" and jumped to go back to Florida, Chip Kelly left (he couldn't get laid in Eugene), Taggert went back to the warmer South (where other black families lived). Mike Belotti lived in Eugene for decades.....but his wife was so bored in Eugene, she had a drinking problem and had an affair...Mike left. Rick Brooks was the only coach I know that stayed in Eugene.....until he left to coach the LA Rams. Only a matter of time before Dan Lanning, and his famiy moves on. Did a great job in Eugene for the Ducks.....but you can only take so much of what backwater Eugene, Oregon is. How many black players stay in Eugene after running out of eligibility at UOregon (intentionally did not say "after graduation....because who graduates?)
