When plays break down there is no script...that's when you need someone that can make something from nothing......having an athletic QB with wheels and the ability to still find a receiver is a recovery plan when your OL can't control the LOS.....do you think Mahone makes plays that are always scripted? Do you think Andy Reid doesn't know what to expect from Mahones when plays break down? Do you think Mahones never hurts his team with some of his street ball? But would KC win a Super Bowl without Mahones ? Riley is using what he has..and we better hope the OL has learned to block and a running game can develop or Moss is dead man walking...

How off script was miller

Moss? He looked pretty on script against the 15rankes defense in the land. And when things blew up he threw the ball away. Weird at it sounds that was refreshing.

Every script and coach looks better with a qb who can move. Duh. Fran Tarkenton made Bud Grant look like Sid Gilliam. But Riley’s qbs have always returned to the script and only freelanced when they had to. Until Caleb 2023. And for the first 6 games he got away with it so Riley shrugged and rode it. Then the wheels came off. Fast

That's a terrible take,. Riley's offenses have an elite track record. He's produced three Heisman winners in seven years of being a HC. Elite. Indeed, he's produced more Heisman winners than any other active HC.
