@August West Not necessarily. Chip is going to continue to fuck the dog at UCLA, as evidenced by the front-runner for the DC job, some old fucker who is a friend of AZZHAT and hasn't been a defensive coordinator for years -- and then only for a short while.
So, timing might be right for Aranda by the time Chip finally and mercifully leaves UCLA. It only takes a coach with at least an ounce of conviction to recruit well to UCLA. Neuheisel recruited like a madman. Even Mora, in his first three years when he was energized, recruited extremely well. Chip doesn't give a shit about recruiting, which is why UCLA continues to recruit high school stiffs and relies on the transfer portal -- an unsustainable approach.
Aranda would do very well at UCLA. It's a long shot, sure, since our new A.D. appears to be a limp dick. But it's not out of the question.
All kidding aside, I think it's possible. USC is poised to go on another big run. I don't think the rest of the conference is going to have much of a choice if they want to compete. They're going to have to spend some money.

Good fit ...
