Considering no one has seen the quality of the product wit all the newbies and how well they mesh I don't see how anyone can have a clue on the quality of this USC team. I also think that with those games later in the season a keyy injury or two could derail the season entirely. I guess I'm more of a pessimist than you because I sure don't think USC wins those two games comfortably especially with PAC officiating and playing Notre Dame in their house..
Our offense is a proven product. No question marks there. We are going to score a lot of points. All we need is a couple of stops from the defense or a few turnovers to get us an extra couple of possessions. We have six preseason games before we hit South Bend to get our new defense to gel. But I understand your point.
I question the OL with only two returning starters and a bunch of newbies that haven't proven they can do the job at USC and be cohesive doing it ......as well as who will be the number one guy at WR? The returnees have been inconsistant and have dropped key passes. The highly rated frosh haven't done squat and the potential top guy in Singer is the only one that has proven he is a quality PAC receiver...so unless he's a Jordan Addison the WR's are question marks...and as you said the defense is up in the air with you hoping they mesh by the time they play the big two games...I suspect that is also up in the air especially if more deserving players are riding the bench over coaches favorites....hard to keep kids happy when they shoud be starting and they are not...under the right conditions the secondary is the strength of the defense...too many question marks at DL and LBer...and depth at those positions is shallow IMHO...
