If Rising was going to play he would have tested the waters last week vs Weber St. This is just Kyle throwing curve balls at Chip over which QB to prepare for. They're running scared and don't know what to do against UCLA.
UTAH has the advantage of home field it's a tough stadium for visitors, UCLA has the advantage of better players at every position.
So the line is Rising? I'm a casual observer of betting lines so I won't mind if someone corrects me, but a line moving has more to do with balancing the money coming in on each team. Rising had surgery in January, coming back after only 8 months is very risky for him. One of the keys to the game will be how the bruins adjust to the sudden step up in competition and on the road. 6 points isn't much of a spread when you consider it's 3 points just for home field . This is a winnable game for the bruins.
Yeah, I don't think Rising should even consider playing this year. He could probably apply to the ncaa for an extra year and get it. Or just work out and apply for the draft next spring.
I have heard that there may be an injury or two on UCLA's team that may have contributed to this line moving and not Rising. Maybe some of you can check your underwold connections and confirm?
I wouldn't touch that game. I actually like ucla, but the home field advantage in SLC is significant. We also have no idea how rusty Rising is at this point. Probably not any worse than what they currently have at QB.... guessing Coach Wit plays his running qb (name??) a little just to mix things up.
Home field would be bigger if they were playing in the fall/winter period...not sue if there is decent weather that other than the officiating there should be such a big field advantage..
perhaps I was premature, better send the paramedics now to the doublewide after all, he is hallucinating like Joe Biden.....I will be rooting Utes all the way, as I cannot stand ucly....No 8 claps, no old folks home, we will be watching and eating at my youngest son's house, (Hawaiian buffet), and watching the kids play in the pool. As fotr the game, if Rising is out, ucly wins easily. If he plays, he is rusty and hurt, ucly wins luckily, like always.
