Love both bands. One thing for sure, fans of both heavy metal and faggy "big hair' bands always act macho and say they hate the Beatles. It's current trend.Beatles had 3 of the greatest singer-song writers in any band.Rolling Stones had Jagger-Richards. (Brian Jones for a short period)
Led Zeppelin had Page-PlantGrateful Dead had Hunter-Garcia
But the wild card here is George Harrison. Great musician and song writer. His post Beatles album "All Things Must Pass" is probably one of the greatest albums of all time.BTW...If any of you homos say Elton Jon and Taupin or the guys from Abba, the we know who are the real pillow biters in the group.
I'm in the minority to be sure, but was never a huge fan of the beatles. I recognize their historical importance to "rock and roll," but I never thought they were the end all be all of music.
@the909trojan I agree. I don't get it. A few good songs, Gently Weep...Eleanor Rigby. The only "artist" more over-rated is Bruce Springsteen. Fuck that hack.
Both bands great ... though Beach Boys could had done better than Mike Love as lead singer. He sucked.

I liked them both.
