Remember the 80's when SC was so desperate for students it lets kids in on academic probation. This was when TRASH got turned down by San Diego State , but daddy wrote a check to SC.
i got accepted twice by ucla...had the good sense to turn them down both times. A USC degree in those days opened a lot more doors than a westwood one.
Wait, so you're making fun of the kid who doesn't need college, is smarter than you, is wealthier and more successful than you and made more money than you. And skipped learning all those greek and latin phrases and skipped all the debt and tuition you paid? All so you could take orders from real doctors and put masks on and off people? All so you could later make fun of society for all wearing masks in 2020?
Hope you see the incredible alt.pot.callingkellte.black.net moment here. I can relate. I also spent less time in school to make more money than you. And I am smarter than you as well. No wonder you're angry.
Yeah we didn't have any of that. I had all sorts of AP classes. I probably had, I dunno. a 3.65 or so? 2 years of Catholic school was tough. Pretty sure my SAT got me in. SAT has really inflated recently. Mine as I recall was 1290 This was at a time when Stanford's average or where they looked hard at you as 1200. Now Stanford won't even spit on your for less than 1500 or 1550. So some things clearly have changed.
Pretty sure my SAT is what got me into some of the nice schools I got into. Getting wait listed or told to go undeclared at SDSU? I dunno. Easy to laugh at now. If that was my top choice and only school that would have been a problem. Now it's a funny footnote and Queer Clem thinks it's some dig. The humor is he wouldn't even know if I didn't bring it up. And I sure as *&^$ wouldn't bring it up if it ate at me that much.
Trojan Hall was were I lived my first year at USC. 64/65 school year. I was from NorCal so it was a shock when I went to breakfast the first Saturday and there were like 5 kids in the dining hall. It was back when 90% of the students were from Southern California and they all went home for the weekend. Of course according to San Clemente because I transferred in from a junior college, I wasn’t really a student and my degree doesn’t count. San Clemente is the ultimate elitist.
I graduated from USC in 1966 my daughter in 2002. I couldn’t even recognize the campus. It was like a
Whole new world from when I went there and today it’s even better and nicer as well as the gentrification of the surrounding area. Of course when I was a student I didn’t know better. It was like heaven to me anyway. Remember you are a Bruin for 4 years and a Trojan for life. LOL
They built parkside tower next to it. For the Olympics I think. I stayed there a year. Trojan hall was next door. You could smell it from there. Remember. You were there in 1965 or whatever. Grocery stick didn’t arrive for another 15-20 years. Imagine the stench Both from time and his arrival Wonder how many aids cases were spawned there during his time

San Diego State is also different these days. I know of 3 kids who got into UCLA this year, but got turned down by SDSU.
A 4.0 in the 80's isn't the same as a 4.0 today. You need a 4.5+ to get into top schools these days.
