The guy was a 6th year guy applying for 7. Means he was developed. Mentally, physically. Takes a long time to grow those guys.
On the other hand. As a PART TIME player he managed to have two consecutive season ending injuries and missed all of 23 and 24. And I am not thrilled about relying on a non contributor and injury risk to be the man in 2025
To me, this smells like they have asked him to cut loose. This smells like the kind of situation we all warn and worry about with the portal. We all hear about guys moving up and getting $$ This sounds like a guy who could not stay healthy and lost his ride because we live in a world where they are managing roster spots.
I would guess you'd see him on a Boise, Fresno, or Western Michigan roster soon.
In his 6 years of college under scholarship at USC.....I'm certain that Gino has at least one BA Degree and possibly a Graduate Degree(s) from USC. Isn't that ultimately the purpose of a college scholarship? USC kept their part of the bargain.
