Pre-BCS times, Oregon would have already won the MNC with a victory over Penn State in the Rose Bowl (rather than in Indy).
No matter, I still think what we have with the 12-team playoffs is the better system (with some slight tweeking) EVEN if it costs my quacks that coveted national championship this season.
