Maybe this one, 5* LB, Manti Te'o from Hawaii. Manti was a 100% commit to USC and C. PC, calling the night before, eh coach I'm signing 1st thing tomorrow morning. But, the next day he signs with Notre Dame. He said, when he woke up, God told him to sign with ND.

We were all devastated. Shoot, 4 years later in his senior year at ND, he became the biggest national and international fool by his fake girlfriend (Lennay Kekua) hoax. Hah, USC dodged that one real good.

Not a QB,, but Marvin Simmons' decommit(s) were a pretty big deal at the time. Academics caused that one so not the same drama. Same with Burfict although he didn't have to go juco. Gabbert was a bg deal for Nebraska as well.

Meshawn never formally signed with SC before Cal but pretty much every "insider" had him at SC.

I'm a very happy camper. Glad it finally happened, our prayers were answered. JJ Lewis, Pro style QB was not the right fit for C. LR O. DT QB, Husan Longstreet is the way better fit for USC's, RPO. Lewis whoring all over the country was a big turn off, hate players that do that sheet.

Wishing Lewis all the best. That team had better have an A+ OL unit. I see JJ Lewis jumping around in the TP maybe 2 times in his career...

Well when he’s immediately replaced by a better prospect/fit it lessons the blow. Have not seen this….maybe ever? Sure its happened but I cant recall it.
