Bo Nix is the favorite over Daniels and Penix.
My guess is if Bo can be pretty good, but not necessarily great, against the 12-0 Huskies and win the game, he'll get enough votes to remain above Jayden Daniels who doesn't get a CCG to improve his situation.
Some say the SEC voters will tend to go with LSU and Daniels. Others say the familiarity they have with Nix from his time at Auburn will be enough for many of them to give him their vote.
Heck, it's all political, just like the Oscars are. But who cares? It would be an awesome second Heisman for Oregon's football program if it comes to pass.
And what an amazing story that could be....IF Oregon can beat UW on Friday: From a guy who beats Oregon on a last second TD in his first game as a frosh for Auburn, gets shuned by his team and the SEC for his inept play and transfers out to Oregon, only to become the NCAA leader not only in total number of games played but also in completion percentage (he's currently at 78.6%, record is 77.4%), and then play his final game with Oregon likely in the playoffs and winning a Heisman.
Definitely a Rudy-esque type story in there somewhere.....lol
It seems the winner of the game will get the Heisman.
Do you think either has what it takes to play in the NFL? I
I think Penix is the favorite since UDub is undefeated. I think the qb of the winner will get the HT. Lot riding on the the final P12 game of all time, esp for UDub. A win seals their CFP invite imo and probably their first HT. A loss gives the HT to Nix, but I think the Ducks will be left out of the CFP, even tho I think they are the best team this season. Such are the vagaries of the cannibalistic P12.
Nix looks like the jock villian in every high school movie.
Guy looks like he is always about to stuff a nerd in a locker.
