Bo Nix not only leads the FBS in # of TDs, but also in completion percentage (73.3%).
Other than NIx, only two QBs since 2000 have had at least 22 passing TDs and 13 rushing TDs over their first 9 games: Lamar Jackson and Jalen Hurts (1 heisman winner, 1 runner-up).
If Oregon makes it all the way to 12-1, I can see Bo as #1 or #2 in balloting depending on what the others accomplish. And if he somehow wins, only need 5 more to match our friends at USC, which at this rate would only take until around, say, December 2046. 🙄
Too bad Oregon reached too soon in the portal for Nix!! Right, bigballss?!?!?!? 😁
Move over, Marcus....there may be a new sheriff in town....
BTW I may need to issue an apology to the board myself (mainly Waldo). I had previously noted that Phil Knight, despite popular opinion, does not get involved with paying recruits. I now hear that that all has changed quite recently....I think the gloves are off, and Phil is now ready to play.
So if you see a spike in Oregon recruiting, it can be said to stem from two developments: Lanning and how good we are playing, and Phil Knight becoming more actively involved in NIL payments....
Stroud may be the favorite but if he loses to Michigan its probably goodbye Heisman. For Caleb to win it
Stroud must lose and USC must win out and Caleb would need to play great versus UCLA and Notre Dame. Doable but still a bill to climb.

that's a nice surprise,
when all is said and done I don't see Caleb going to New York.
But that would mean SC won out , and would be really cool.
Haven't seen Drake Maye play. those numbers are insane. sc
